Who or what is the Railroad Yakuza?

The Railroad Yakuza is a clandestine society of individuals with an interest in railroads. Some are railroad employees. Some are photographers of railroads. Some are just fans.

Who formed it?

The Gang of Five, a diverse group of individuals spread across the United States.

Why?

The internet was a driving force in creating online communities of like-minded people. However, it has fallen on hard times. Corruption is rampant, chaos rules, and once great communities are often filled with lunatics presided over by foolish, bureacratic dictators.

The Railroad Yakuza is a counter-force to this.

What does it do?

The organization uses it's broad reach to influence debates, protect other members, and occasionally pick a fight for a good cause. It encourages individuality by promising it's protection by the group.

Mostly, of course, it likes to have fun.

Is it a criminal organization?

Wouldn't you like to know, Mister Prosecutor!

No, really?

Fine, fine. The Railroad Yakuza does not in any way endorse or condone any acts which are contrary to U.S., State, or local laws. That said, the organization cannot be held responsible for the actions of its members should they choose to circumvent those laws as individuals.

Is this all just some sick joke?

Yes, yes it is.

How can I join?

I thought you thought it was a sick joke.

Just answer me, damnit!

You cannot join us by application. membership is conferred by the Gang of Five, upon nomination by a member of the organization in good standing. Generally it is only given to those who have already proven themselves friends to the organization or its members.

Your best bet? Stand up for yourself, be honest, and don't act like a douche. And if you're already doing that, then maybe you're already a member, and we just haven't told you yet. Have patience.
